⚠️ Zero Tolerance Policy for Objectionable Content & Harassment
Kiroku is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and friendly community for anime and manga fans worldwide. There is zero tolerance for objectionable, obscene, defamatory, hateful, abusive, or harassing content. Users who violate these standards will have their content removed immediately and will face permanent suspension of their account.
1. Agreement to Terms
By creating an account, downloading, accessing, or using the Kiroku mobile application or website (kirokuapp.com), you agree to be bound by this End User License Agreement ("EULA") and Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all terms outlined herein, do not use the application.
2. User-Generated Content (UGC) Guidelines
Kiroku provides features allowing users to post comments, discuss anime/manga episodes, create and curate public/shared lists, and customize profile information. By submitting or posting content, you agree that you will NOT upload or share any content that:
- Is pornographic, sexually explicit, NSFW/hentai, or promotes graphic violence or self-harm.
- Constitutes harassment, bullying, stalking, threats, hate speech, or bigotry based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or nationality.
- Infringes upon any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other proprietary rights of any party.
- Contains automated spam, commercial advertising, malicious scripts, phishing links, or impersonates another individual.
3. 24-Hour Moderation SLA & Content Enforcement
In accordance with Apple App Store Review Guidelines (Guideline 1.2):
- Instant In-App Reporting: Every comment, discussion, and user profile provides a 1-tap "Report" button with selectable violation reasons.
- Automated 3-Strike Quarantine: Any comment or discussion that receives 3 or more user reports is immediately quarantined and hidden from the public feed pending administrator review.
- 24-Hour Moderation Guarantee: Reported content is investigated by our moderation team within 24 hours. Content in violation is permanently deleted, and offending accounts are banned.
- Immediate User Blocking: Users can block abusive members at any time via their profile or Settings. Blocked members are instantly hidden from feeds, comments, and recommendations.
4. MyAnimeList & Third-Party APIs
Kiroku provides optional OAuth 2.0 integration with MyAnimeList (MAL) and utilizes public anime community metadata sources (including Jikan API and AnimeThemes). Kiroku is an independent platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by MyAnimeList, LLC or Japanese animation production committees.
5. Intellectual Property & Fair Use
The Kiroku name, logos, software algorithms (including the Taste Match™ scoring engine), and unique user interface are the intellectual property of Kiroku. Anime cover art, character images, theme song snippets, and studio synopses displayed in the app are the property of their respective copyright holders and are used for cataloging, commentary, critique, and personal collection management under fair use principles.
6. Account Termination & Self-Serve Deletion
You may terminate your account at any time. We provide an instant, self-service account deletion tool directly inside the mobile app: Settings → Account → Delete account. Upon deletion, all your personal data, tokens, and credentials are permanently purged in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
